Remember that you can also store backups in iTunes . This way you can save space in iCloud without losing the information of your device. Use iPhone, iPad, iPod or Mac memory instead of uploading photos or videos to Apple's cloud, or use third-party apps like Dropbox, Mega, Google Drive that allow for a little more extensive free storage.
