Review of the iPad 2017, the most balanced tablet on the market

What is an iPad? , Maybe this is the first question you should ask to analyze the new iPad 2017 . If you think that the future of computers is replaced by the more powerful iPad, keyboards and pencils, I'm sorry to tell you that this tablet is not for you. If on the contrary, you think the iPad is designed to do "iPad stuff"  like watching videos of Apple 5 × 1 on YouTube, manage mail, play or just read articles like this, congratulations because Apple has the best tablet for this purpose  (And it's cheap).

Let's talk about the internal specifications of the device. This iPad 2017 comes to replace the iPad Air 2 , however, when we take it in hand we realize the first differences. Although the iPad 2017 features the same shell of the iPad Air or the iPad Pro of 9.7 inches, when you are accustomed to an iPad Air 2 you feel thicker and heavier .

I agree that at first glance it is difficult to differentiate the iPad 2017 compared to its predecessor, the iPad Air 2, but the differences exist and are noticeable. Although this may seem bad, it is not . It is a pretty handy device in hand, especially when you come from a fourth generation iPad as is my case (or an older model).

Another controversial point is the screen of the new iPad. The iPad 2017 loses the laminated screen that already had the iPad Air 2 . This was a process that allowed to combine the glass, the touch sensors and the screen (three in one) within a single layer. It was a method to improve reflections, definition and clarity of color, but you know what ?, forgot the theme of the laminated screen. The new iPad has one of the best screens on the market . The iPad always (I reiterate the usual) have taken the best screens on the market and this iPad 2017 reflects that. It is a 9.7-inch Retina display under a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels . If we get a bit exquisite, 

The best balanced iPad to date

In terms of performance we are facing one of the best devices created by Apple. Inside it has the A9 processor (more powerful than the iPad Air 2 and almost as much as the iPad Pro of 9.7 inches). Very very good work of Apple at this point, a lot of fluidity especially considering the performance that we are going to give to this iPad. However, we could do demanding jobs and we would have no problem. I insist that this is one of the strongest points of this device. A processor as powerful (or more) than the new Samsung Galaxy S8 + (the most powerful terminal in the Android competition).

The battery is also a highlight of the new iPad. By increasing the thickness , Apple decided to expand the internal battery size , if we add the software (iOS 10), we find one of the best devices in terms of battery life on the market. A highlight that I do not want to pass by is the loudspeakers. The iPad 2017 has two speakers that will give us a remarkable sound , does not change anything compared to previous models but I would have liked to see the incorporation of the four speakers that we have in the models Pro. Nor can we use the Apple Pencil Nor the Apple keyboard for the iPad Pro, but do you need these things to watch videos, manage mail, play or read on the iPad 2017 ?,

Is it really worth it? Yes, unless ...

After reading all the above the question is clear, should you upgrade to this iPad 2017 ?, the answer is depends. Before upgrading you have to evaluate two important things . The first thing to assess is whether your current iPad works really well or not. If the answer is no, you will have to rate a second aspect. Do you want an iPad to do "iPad stuff" or do you want an iPad as a productivity tool? , If the answer the first, this iPad 2017 is tailor made. My personal opinion is that if you have a fourth generation iPad or older, this new iPad is a great option to renew your tablet. If on the other hand, you have an iPad Air or a device more modern than this one, perhaps you should wait for other models.

What is clear about this product is that the 399 euros that the base model costs, make it a very interesting option when it comes to renewing your tablet. Apple returns to the beginning, has realized that the productive in the iPad is fine but with that will not be able to sell more tablets .
