The finance minister plans a new tax on technology companies in order to cope with the rise in pensions in Spain. Apple or Amazon, would be some of those companies harmed by the tax increase.
This measure would be motivated by the rise of pensions to our elderly, well deserved, since the Spanish Government only applied a rise of 0.25% . Companies like Amazon or Apple would be some of those harmed by this new measure that has been exposed after the Council of Ministers today.
According to Montoro, technology companies do not pay enough , at least without a justification for it. So before long, this new tax could be a reality, having an effect on the final price of the devices for the final consumer.
Montoro wants Apple to pay more

Although the minister states that there is still room for savings in Spain, this measure could be extended until 2021 at the earliest. Date on which the Social Security is expected to pay the pension expenditure deficit. This measure will be coordinated with the European Union.
Large companies, such as Apple, usually have their weapons to pay less in the countries in which it operates. We recall the case of Apple in Europe, where the European Union imposed a fine of 13,000 million for unpaid taxes . This payment was made effective last Thursday, April 26 .
Of course, this tax increase could affect the final customer, that is, us. So you're thinking about buying an Apple device, maybe now is the time, if you do not want to pay more for the same product.
This measure will not be exclusive to Apple , other companies such as Amazon, will also be involved in the new tax increase for which the Government of Spain, wants to deal with the rise in pensions.
