These are some of the apps for iOS that filter personal data of its users

Back in February, a security researcher revealed that several iOS apps were likely to filter personal information such as hacker access data from Apple's operating system. Curiously, three months later, and despite the huddle, most of those apps - including apps from banks - have not been modified to avoid it.

Will Strafach of the Sudo Security group explained that at least 76 apps were susceptible to attack , including medical and banking apps so that they were cheated to provide user login information, of course without the original user knowing .

After this leak, the logical thing is to think that the application developers solve these security vulnerabilities that allow it, but it has not.

Most apps tested can continue to filter data, including Emirates NBD, Think Mutual, Space Coast Credit Union or 21st Century Insurance. Fortunately these are not apps that we use here in Spain, but they certainly are the tip of the iceberg of many others and of course, not all our banks and insurers will be equally safe .

But there are also apps from other categories like the Dolphin Web Browser browser, the Diabetes Diabetes in Check sick app or even the app that allowed Indiana residents to vote in the past election. Spooky.

Although it has not been reported that someone is extracting this information and using it, it is certainly surprising that nobody does anything to correct it. If by chance you have any of these apps, the security expert recommends that you avoid open Wi-Fi networks and instead use your data rate .
