This morning a video was unveiled on Matthew Roberts' YouTube account, where images of the progress of construction on the Apple Park campus are evident. A few weeks ago, Roberts published what was expected to be the final update before the grand opening of the campus that has not yet opened its doors to employees, only a few days after the end of April, initially scheduled for the change of headquarters.
Since Apple officially announced the name of Apple Park in February, construction has progressed rapidly. Today, the installation of solar panels on the roof of the central building of the " spacecraft " seems almost complete, while in the yard is still completed the construction of a building and surrounding vegetation.
Most buildings and landscaping are almost ready at the Apple Park
One of the most important features of Apple's next venue is the campus-wide landscaping, which has been expanding in recent weeks, so much so that Apple has caused tree shortages for other companies in the area, according to MacRumors . According to Roberts' latest video, there is still plenty of time for the Apple landscape to complete the distribution of the 9,000 native drought-resistant trees that are expected to be planted throughout the site.
Continued landscaping, as well as construction at some of Apple Park's auxiliary buildings, will continue through the summer, long after Apple moves the first employees to the main building. While some of the side buildings are complete - like the parking garage - some still have details to finish as the new campus auditorium, which has been named the "Steve Jobs Theater" in honor of the last CEO.
Once employees begin to move, it is estimated that Apple will take about six months to move with approximately 13,000 workers to Apple Park.
