Many wonder if a MacBook 12 "machine is enough for your daily tasks. In this article I will tell you my personal experience with it.
Moving from a MacBook Pro to a MacBook
It may sound crazy, but yes. I changed a MacBook Pro 13 "mid-2012 for MacBook 12" 2016 .
In my particular case, the MacBook that I use daily is the most basic model:
- 256GB flash storage
- M3 Intel Core dual - core 1.1GHz Turbo Boost up to 2.2 GHz
- 8 GB of memory
- Intel HD Graphics 515
My previous model, the MacBook Pro 13 ", had 16GB of RAM, 256GB SSD and a second mechanical disk that I installed in the bay 780GB SuperDrive.
A priori may think that the change has been really bad, but no. I'll explain why.
The decision to change Mac

It turns out that I started working on a web friend writing articles about accessories for Apple products generally and sought portability and convenience when writing.
We can say that the MacBook Pro ever used it less , since he always used to edit my iMac 27 "with 5K resolution.
Well. The MacBook Pro machine was a beast, worked great and had also invested some money to improve the face of video editing. I used it in his day and I do not regret having spent that money on improvements.
But now comes the part of portability, perfect to carry and bring it anywhere. Of transporting it , the end of the day . It was a notebook that was not much reference to his name, because it was not very portable. The weight was too much to walk back and forth carrying him.
In addition, one of the main problems was that the heat does not dissipate too well, and that is why it was uncomfortable to use on legs, for example. In many cases even came to burn the top left when connected to the charger.
The articles were becoming more frequent and the need for a very lightweight laptop was growing, and that's why I decided to retire to my MacBook Pro to welcome the new MacBook 2016.
Adapting myself to new Mac

I have to say it did not cost me anything at all to get used to it. It's more. I have not even missed his predecessor.
Today meets all my expectations . I write articles much more comfortable with this butterfly keyboard; I can take it and bring it anywhere. It is very convenient to carry; the battery works perfectly as to forget your charger at home for a day; even in video editing with Final Cut Pro behaves perfectly. No lag or overheating.
And I know you're wondering: "And what about the only port you have?" I must confess that sometimes I missed a USB than type C.
Without going any further, the other day to go to sync my iPhone to back up, grabbed my cable Lightning and ... ups. I had to go for my adapter to continue with my homework.
As mentioned in this article , this problem is a lesser evil because it has easy solution and many possible configurations.
The change was worth it
In my case it was worth it . I'm really happy and satisfied with my current MacBook. You may have doubts whether or not to buy. First really think you need and what you need.
If your tasks will be focused on office automation, media playback, web browsing, etc., this computer is for you.
If you need more power because they use the Mac to edit videos or photographs heavy, perhaps most suits you buy the Pro model.
To edit videos my configuration serves perfectly. In fact I've used for editing, but it is obvious that a Pro is more focused for these functions.
We hope to have help with this humble opinion daily use with a MacBook 12 ". However, if you have any doubt, feel free to leave a comment just below the article.
