In this operation, in addition to acquiring the company, Didi ChuXing would become owner of the database, the list of customers and the infrastructure itself.
Meanwhile, The  Wall Street Journal notes that the company as part of the deal, Didi ChuXing invest billion in Uber International, coincidentally the same amount invested in Didi Apple ChuXing months ago.

Didi ChuXing is the main rival of Uber in China and could increase its market share by buying the American company.

It is decision could be because the last few months have been summarized in a loss of customers for both companies, finally ending in the acquisition of one by the other, the larger and more market share to smaller, in this case, Uber.
