Compare New Apple iMacs with the Original 1998

Apple has sought to highlight the evolution of the progress of their products through a section on its official website in which he compares the new iMacs 4K and 5K to the original 1998.

In 1998 Apple introduced an iMac that reinvented the way people interacted with computers, was the most advanced of its time , and it was fun and easy to use.

It is clear that progress has been spectacular, given that in reality only 17 years have passed, a time interval that in the world of technology is really tiny. Can you imagine how things will be in 2050?

Apple: "Say hello to progress"

So headlined the article in the Apple website , and explained that "as the world has changed in ways no one could have imagined, so has the iMac."

The truth is that if we compare both models is easy to see the great progress of technology ... We are very lucky to have lived the change!

One of the most surprising data is that the new iMacs are up to 14 million more pixels .Moreover, the graphics run 62,000 times faster and has 1,000 times more RAM , 750 times more storage and the data that we liked most: 366 times more powerful processing.

In this way, Apple puts the lookback to see the spectacular power users of their new products. Although of course, when compared with such old model is obviously going to win ... you have to see how they behave to the new Microsoft Surface . What do you think? Although that was not the intention of Apple, who wanted to give a touch of creativity, longing and melancholy to their marketing.
